Privacy policy
This policy covers bitchat.cc, the guide and file mirror. It does not cover the bitchat app. The app has its own behavior once it is installed, documented by the upstream project. Read that documentation before you rely on the app for a sensitive conversation.

What this site is for
People read articles and download APK files. You can do both without an account. We do not ask you to register, and we do not run a comment section.
Data the server sees
Like almost every web server, ours records request logs. A typical line includes the IP address, date, the URL, the status code, the user agent, and the referring page. We use those logs to keep the site up, to block abuse, and to see which guides are actually read. We do not sell log data.
Logs are kept on the same server that hosts the site and are removed in the ordinary course of disk maintenance. Do not send passwords or recovery phrases in a URL. Nothing on this site needs them.
Contact form
If you send the form, we store your name, email address, message, the time, and the IP address. The IP is there to rate-limit spam. The store is a file outside the public website folder. We read it to answer you. We do not add the address to a marketing list. Do not include another person’s private information in the message.
Cookies on this site
The page itself does not set a tracking cookie. Two browser features are local:
- If you dismiss the short notice at the bottom, the browser stores a flag named
bitchatcc-cookiein local storage so the note stays hidden. - The contact page uses a session cookie named
bitchatccso the form can carry a one-time token. That cookie is not an advertising identifier.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We may show ads through Google AdSense. As of 2026-10-05, the AdSense script is included only when a publisher id is present in the site configuration. While that id is empty, pages do not call Google’s ad servers.
If AdSense is turned on, Google and its partners may use cookies, including the advertising cookie, to serve and measure ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies is described in Google’s own policies. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s ad settings, and you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ads are not the download buttons. A download button names the file size and points at an APK or at another page on this site.
Downloads
Fetching an APK is an ordinary file request. It shows up in the server log as the file’s URL. We do not attach an account to the download because there is no account. The APK itself is the upstream application. After you install it, its network behavior is the app’s, not this website’s.
Third-party pages
Links to GitHub, bitchat.free, Google Play, and the App Store leave this site. Those sites have their own policies. We do not control them.
Children
This guide is written for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent believes a child sent the contact form, write to us and we will delete the stored message.
Your choices
You can browse without dismissing the notice, without sending the form, and without downloading a file. You can ask us to delete a contact message by sending another message from the same email with the word “delete”. We will remove the stored lines we can find.
Questions about this policy go through the contact form.
